CODE AND SAFETY TRAINING

Arseal can provide your facility with a complete range of code and safety training options.  Classes may be conducted at your facility, in Arseal’s training center, or online.  After consultation with your safety personnel, Arseal will create a training syllabus to meet your specific needs.  All Arseal training modules are designed to meet OSHA 29 and NFPA 70E requirements.  You may select from Arseal’s existing training modules or have us create a custom curriculum based on the specific needs associated with your facility and/or equipment.  Whatever the needs of your company, from the simplest precautions for unqualified personnel to the complex requirements of workplace safety for qualified personnel, Arseal will provide you with the training that will ensure that your facility understands and practices effective electrical safety.

Electrical Safety Training

Arseal provided this customer with training at two of the customer’s locations. The training consisted of two components: a classroom component in which students were trained in detail on each training subject and a hands-on component where the students applied what they had learned to site electrical equipment. Students passing both the written test and hands-on evaluation were considered by the customer to be “qualified” personnel.  Training included the following topics:

  • Understanding electrical distribution equipment
  • Identification of electrical hazards
  • Minimum approach distances and arc flash boundaries
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Creating safe work zones and independent verification
  • Reading and understanding single line diagrams
  • Hands on training/evaluation
  • Classroom testing
