Electrical Safety Training
About The Project
Arseal provided this customer with training at two of the customer’s locations. The training consisted of two components: a classroom component in which students were trained in detail on each training subject and a hands-on component where the students applied what they had learned to site electrical equipment. Students passing both the written test and hands-on evaluation were considered by the customer to be “qualified” personnel. Training included the following topics:
- Understanding electrical distribution equipment
- Identification of electrical hazards
- Minimum approach distances and arc flash boundaries
- Personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Creating safe work zones and independent verification
- Reading and understanding single line diagrams
- Hands on training/evaluation
- Classroom testing
