PIPELINE HYDRAULICS

Regardless of the application, creating a model of a desired system for a specified medium to be transported or distributed at a particular rate will provide you the information needed to specify the required equipment to accomplish your project goals. In the case of existing systems, these models provide an insight into tracing inefficiencies that may be causing limitations or allow you to identify capacity increase opportunities. This information is also critical for sizing the system and the system equipment properly. This sizing includes, but is not limited to, pipe diameter, pumps, blowers, vapor combustion units (VCUs), vapor recovery units (VRUs), orifice plates, and control valves.

Facility Optimization Hydraulics

Arseal provided hydraulic modeling for the optimization of a client terminal intended to increase its volume by 10,000 barrels a day. Models were created to optimize tank fill piping sizes, truck loading pump specifications, control valve sizing, ethanol and additive injections pressure requirements, and hydrocarbon vapor flowrates.
