Mainline Pump Station
About The Project
The first step in design for a new installation is creating the piping and instrumentation diagrams that represent the equipment and measuring or monitoring devices that are associated with the process or operation. For this project, new mainline pump units were being installed. A pump symbol was input into the diagram, but beyond that it was required to show the instrumentation and periphery equipment and controls required for the pump to operate safely and efficiently. These diagrams were reviewed and updated to ensure that all safety measures were accounted for and all monitoring equipment and instruments were properly placed and specified. Only after these diagrams were approved did Arseal proceed with layouts and designs which ultimately informed the installation.
